Community Group Campus Tours are available for groups not comprised of high school students.
Tours are led by knowledgeable Southern Miss students who can answer questions about Å·ÃÀAV campus history and the student experience.

Tour Requests
Tour Information
Tours are approximately one hour in length and include stops at notable locations throughout the Hattiesburg campus.
Chaperones
A minimum of one chaperon is required for every 20 students and/or guests under the age of 18. Chaperones must accompany the group and are expected to monitor the behavior of each student and/or guest during the entire campus visit.
Arrival
Please arrive 5–10 minutes before your scheduled tour time. If you are behind schedule, please call us at 601.266.4491 to provide your estimated arrival time. If your group arrives more than 30 minutes past your scheduled start time, you cannot be guaranteed a tour.
Cancellations
Tours may be canceled due to emergency situations or weather conditions at the discretion of the Office of University Communications. Tour participants will be notified in advance of all cancellations.
If you find it necessary to cancel your visit, you must provide notification of cancellation prior to the day of the scheduled visit. Please call 601.266.4491 to cancel your tour.
Weather
All tours are dependent upon weather conditions. The Office of University Communications has the right to postpone or cancel all tours if there is a potential for hazardous weather conditions. Rescheduling or cancellation will be made 24 hours in advance. Tours will not be conducted in hazardous weather. Participants will be outdoors during tours. Groups should bring rain gear as needed. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing, walking shoes and sun protection.
Charges and Fees
Campus tours are generally free of charge. Visiting groups will be responsible for all on-campus charges and/or fees resulting from special requests. Any associated fees will be communicated in advance to the primary group contact.
On-campus Dining
Lunch arrangements on the Hattiesburg campus should be made seperately with by calling 601.266.5376. Options for lunch include Seymour’s (Chick-fil-A and Subway), the Power House Restaurant and The Fresh Food Company (University cafeteria).
Picnic Lunches
On-campus outdoor picnic lunches are allowed. Rain locations are not available at this time. University Communications is unable to coordinate logistics for picnic lunches. Groups are responsible for the conveyance of lunches and supplies (including ice chests) to and from picnic location. Climate-controlled storage for food items is not available. Groups must place trash in appropriate receptacles.
Parking
Buses should park in the gravel lot adjacent to . Conveyance from bus to tour group location is not available. A communication method to alert bus driver of pick-up time and location is strongly recommended.
