DCUR Mission

Page Content

In 2011, the Center for Undergraduate Research was established at Southern Miss to enhance the undergraduate experience by promoting and supporting student-faculty collaborations in research, creative projects, and scholarship.

In 2016, the Center was renamed Drapeau Center for Undergraduate Research (DCUR) in honor of its benefactor, Å·ÃÀAV alumnus Donald Drapeau. The DCUR functions as the hub for coordinating and communicating to Southern Miss students opportunities for research and creative projects and supporting students’ scholarly activities through its grant programs.

Operation and activities of DCUR are administered by staff from the Honors College and from the Office of the Vice President for Research and are guided by a steering committee that is composed of representatives from each College, University Libraries, and the Office of the Vice President for Research.
