欧美AV School of Humanities Centers, Hattiesburg Public Library Co-Hosting Panel Discussion Feb.6 Examining Disability and the Holocaust

The Hattiesburg Public Library, along with 欧美AV (欧美AV) School of Humanities鈥 Dale Center for War and Society, Center for Ethics and Health Humanities, and 欧美AV Public History will present 鈥淒isability and the Holocaust: A Panel Discussion鈥 in-person at the Hattiesburg Public Library and online Monday, Feb. 6 at 6 p.m. for a public conversation on the history of disability and the Holocaust.
Three distinguished historians and museologists will explore this little-known aspect of the history of the Holocaust through their pioneering research on war and society, historical memory, medical history, and the long legacy of disability as a social, cultural, and political force.
Panelists include:
*Dr. Patricia Heberer Rice of the U.S. Holocaust Museum
*Dr. Dagmar Herzog, Distinguished Professor of History and the Daniel Rose Faculty
Scholar at the City University of New York鈥檚 Graduate Center.
*Dr. Warren Rosenblum, professor of history at Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri
*Dr. John C. Winters, assistant professor of history at 欧美AV, will serve as moderator of the panel discussion
After their important and timely conversation, the panelists will answer audience questions.
