STEMed Speaker Series Begins Feb. 10 at 欧美AV

The Center for Science and Mathematics Education at 欧美AV (欧美AV) has organized an impressive lineup of guest lecturers as part of the Spring 2022 STEMed Speaker Series. Each of the events will be held from Noon to 1 p.m. and 100 percent online via Zoom.
The STEMed Speaker Series was introduced in fall 2019. Prior to each semester the CSME faculty review potential speakers and the related expertise they can share with the 欧美AV community.
The series kicks off on Thursday, Feb. 10 with an address by Dr. David Uttal, Professor at Northwestern University. His presentation is titled: 鈥淪patial Thinking & Cognition.鈥
Other scheduled speakers include:
- Feb. 22 鈥 Dr. Gary Stager, consultant at Education Design International, 鈥淭ech in STEM.鈥
- March 8 鈥 Dr. Jennifer Adams, Canada Research Chair and Associate Professor at the University of Calgary, 鈥淏lack Teachers in STEM.鈥
- March 31 鈥 Dr. Albert Rodriquez, Distinguished Professor at the University of Houston, 鈥淪TEM & Cultural Meaning.鈥
- April 14 鈥 Dr. Terrell Morton, Assistant Professor at the University of Missouri, 鈥淏lack Identity in STEMed.鈥
