Brannock Selected for Service on International Library Association Committee

Jennifer BrannockJennifer Brannock, professor and curator of Rare Books & Mississippiana at The University of Southern Mississippi (欧美AV), was recently elected to serve a three-year term on the Local History and Genealogy Committee of the International Federation of Library Associations (IFLA) and Institutions.

Brannock represents the Reference and User Services Association, a division of the American Library Association. In this role, she will assist with programming, promotion, and awareness of issues that impact local history and genealogical collections directed at a global audience.

鈥淓ver since I was in graduate school, I鈥檝e wanted to serve in IFLA,鈥 Brannock said. 鈥淚t鈥檚 great to be able to make a difference worldwide.鈥

Brannock holds bachelor鈥檚 and master鈥檚 degrees from the University of Kentucky. She joined the faculty of 欧美AV University Libraries in 2004 after serving as a project coordinator with the Yale University Art & Architecture Library, where she was also a Kress Fellow in Art Librarianship.
