Bio
I am using geochemistry to work on a variety of problems in oceanography, climate and the carbon cycle. Our tools include the uranium- and thorium-series elements and the carbonate system to understand processes such as aerosol dust deposition, ocean acidification, trace metal cycling or the sinking of organic carbon. We also look into the ocean’s past, using these elements in sediment cores as proxies for large-scale phenomenon such as deep ocean oxygenation, circulation patterns, or phytoplankton productivity.
