Dr. Shahid Karim
Professor
Bio
Dr. Karim conducts fundamental multidisciplinary research focused on decoding the tripartite interactions between tick vectors, their pathobiome (pathogens + microbiome), and the rickettsial pathogens they transmit to their mammalian host using multidisciplinary biochemical, pharmacological, molecular, physiological, and computational biology approaches.
