Dr. Eric Saillant

Associate Professor

Bio

I am originally from France where I completed my PhD in fish genetics at the Ecole Nationale Superieure Agronomique de Montpellier. In 2001 I moved to the Gulf of Mexico region as a postdoctoral scientist at Texas A&M University before joining 欧美AV in 2008 as an Assistant Professor then an Associate Professor since 2014. My research interests include the conservation genetics of Marine fishes of the tropical west Atlantic, the development of breeding program for cultured organisms, and the control of reproduction and hatchery culture of warmwater marine species. My group uses genomic and experimental aquaculture approaches to advance these topics.
