Bio
Dr. Kevin Dillon is an Associate Professor in 欧美AV鈥檚 School of Ocean Science and Engineering鈥檚 Division of Coastal Sciences in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. in chemical oceanography from Florida State University. His research interests include the biogeochemical cycling of carbon and nutrients in aquatic systems, food web dynamics, groundwater hydrology, and analytical chemistry. His current research focuses on the use of stable isotopes to investigate food web dynamics on natural and artificial reefs, restored wetlands as well as in oceanic Sargassum-associated communities. A portion of this work investigates the effects of riverine nutrient inputs on food web dynamics in coastal ecosystems. He also investigates the fate of excessive nutrients from fresh water diversions into Mississippi waters.
