Meet the Speakers

Ruthe Farmer 
Founder & CEO, Last Mile Education Fund

Farmer is a talent entrepreneur laser-focused on inclusion and leveraging existing infrastructure to scale change. She is the founder and CEO of the. She previously served as chief evangelist at CSforAll, was senior policy advisor for tech inclusion in the Obama White House, and chief strategy & growth officer at the National Center for Women & IT.

Her work has been integral to the design, launch and scaling of multiple national initiatives, including the NCWIT K-12 Alliance, Aspirations in Computing, TECHNOLOchicas, AspireIT, CSEdWeek, CS and Cyber for Girl Scouts, the CSforALL Summit, and JROTC-CS.

She served as 2012 Chair of CSEDWeek, was named a 2013 White House Champion of Change for Technology Inclusion, received the 2014 Anita Borg Institute Award for Social Impact, and the inaugural UK Alumni Award for Social Impact in 2015. She holds a BA from Lewis & Clark College and an MBA from Oxford.

Rachel Wortman Morris PhD
Senior Business Program Manager - Worldwide Learning, Microsoft

Dr. Wortman Morris is the Future Skill Transformation Lead for Microsoft where she directs the Microsoft Learn for Educators program and was the co-creator of Microsoft AI Business School. In addition to her work at Microsoft, Dr. Wortman Morris is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Washington School of Public Health. She holds her Ph.D. in Comparative Studies from The Ohio State University as well as degrees from Oberlin College and Middlebury College.

Curt Dennis
Senior Manager of Product Development, Secureworks

Dennis is a product manager based out of Raleigh, NC. His passion is helping companies deliver outcomes that create client value. He does this by being a client advocate, doing in-depth market evaluation, and looking at competing products to identify unique ways to drive revenue while focusing on the most important thing...customer loyalty and satisfaction.

  • Take Exit 31 at Canal Road.
  • Travel south to 28th Street.
  • Turn right and take a left at traffic light (Klondyke Road).
  • Travel 1.4 miles south to the 3-way stop. Turn left onto Cleveland Avenue.
  • Travel south on Cleveland until it intersects with Highway 90.
  • Turn left onto Highway 90 and travel .5 mile. Make a left turn onto Beach Park Place to enter Gulf Park Campus.
  • Keep going straight on Gulf Park Drive, you'll see Hardy Hall on your right on 102 Avenue of the Oaks.
     

 

  • Turn right (heading west) onto Highway 90.
  • Travel west for approximately 2.7 miles.
  • Turn right onto Beach Park Place to enter Gulf Park Campus.
  • Keep going straight on Gulf Park Drive, you'll see Hardy Hall on your right on 102 Avenue of the Oaks.
